El Matador State Beach |Malibu, CA

California beaches are open again so we have been exploring different beaches from orange county to LA! Yesterday, my husband and I took the girls out to Malibu El Matador State Beach and we had a blast! I can’t believe it took us so long to visit this beautiful place (Side note: my husband and I did take our engagement photos in Malibu and we are celebrating our 7th year anniversary this year!)

Word of advice: parking is really bad in this area! There is probably only 20 spaces in the parking lot and you will have to find parking somewhere else (probably on the highway?!.) Then there’s a long mile of walking down to the beach. But totally worth the hike and drive.. because this beach is truly heaven on earth. The beach is full of sea caves, massive rocks and lots of birds.

Great pics of your family at El Matador State Beach in Malibu & congrats on your anniversary! I loved when I lived in San Diego, going out and exploring all the different beaches up and down the SoCal Coastline. Really miss those days when I could just ride my bike down to La Jolla. I hope you guys have many more days like this!

These are such lovely pics and I’m sure you all had a blast just being somewhere other than home with the lockdown.

Your pictures are amazing. I’m inspired to take more pictures of the beaches here in Japan. 🙂
