Happy Lunar New Year From Universal Studios Hollywood

Our family was personally invited to Universal Studios Hollywood this past weekend to help celebrate Lunar New Year! What is Lunar New Year? Chinese New Year is also known as Lunar New year! It’s a time where Chinese people from all over the world come together and celebrate the end of coldest days and welcome Spring! The festival is celebrated for 15 days total! In some culture, they celebrate Lunar new year by giving their children lucky money in a red envelope that signifies transferring fortune from the elders to their children. There is also a zodiac sign assigned to the year and the animal determines the success of your career, health and relationships! This year is the “Year of the Rat” which represent intelligent, witty and charming. With that being said… here’s a recap of the Lunar New Year at Universal Studios Hollywood!

Under a curtain of traditional red Chinese lanterns and stunning plum blossom Wishing Trees, we got to meet some of our favorite pop-cons such as Hello Kitty, Minions, Po and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda Adventure wearing brightly colored traditional Lunar New Year attires! It was so much fun!! (Check out our Youtube Video!)

We had an amazing time celebrating Lunar New Year at Universal Studios Hollywood! Although, the girls are still too young to remember this day; I will always remember this trip for them. Thank you for inviting us and allowing us to be apart of the biggest celebration in the world!
